Hi, I'm Mariana!
Music has been part of my life since I was 5. What started at the piano eventually led me to my true calling, my voice! But it wasn't a straightforward path: I was too shy to admit I loved singing, so I enrolled in a Jazz Piano degree first. But the jam sessions had other plans. After completing my Bachelor's in Jazz Voice at Codarts University in Rotterdam, I became deeply aware of something few people talk about openly: how anxiety, posture and the mind shape the voice. Having struggled with all three myself, I made it my mission to understand them, and that curiosity hasn't stopped since!I bring together vocal technique, body awareness, and the kind of honest, patient guidance I once needed myself.

What will we work on?
Every session is built around you: your voice, your goals, your unique sound. Together, we'll work on developing a healthy, free voice that feels authentic to who you are as a singer and as a person. We'll work on breath support, lower and upper registers and how to blend them through mixing, resonance, phonation modes (from soft and intimate to powerful and full), and agility (think riffs and runs). Because a voice that flows freely across its full range is one that allows you to sing with more expression! But we don't stop at technique. The voice is deeply connected to body and mind, so we'll also pay attention to posture, tension, and the mental side of singing. And beyond all of that, we'll work on building your artistic identity: through interpretation, creativity, and finding the expression that is uniquely yours.Whatever your level or style, every lesson is a space to explore without judgement, build with intention, and leave feeling a little more at home in your voice.
Learn more about the voice
Your voice is a living instrument!
Unlike a piano or a guitar, your voice can't be left in a case and picked up exactly as you left it. It lives in your body, and your body is always changing.Singing is a complex process that requires many muscles to work in harmony. Our sound is shaped by a delicate balance between tension and release, which means that when life throws something at us (stress, illness, emotion, or even a bad night's sleep) the voice is often one of the first places we feel it. A tense jaw, tight shoulders, a neck that won't let go: these things are addressed in our sessions!Maybe you've never had tension while singing before, but you're going through a difficult season, and suddenly something feels off. That's not a flaw. That's your instrument being honest with you.Understanding why your voice behaves the way it does in any given moment is one of the most powerful tools a singer can have. My goal is to give you exactly that, so that whatever life brings, you always know how to find your way back to your voice.

Hi, I'm Mariana!
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It started at the piano when I was 5, and grew into a lifelong passion that would eventually lead me to discover my true calling: my voice. For a long time, singing was something I kept close to my chest. I was too shy to do it in front of others, even to admit I loved it, so when I decided to pursue music professionally, I enrolled in a Jazz Piano degree. But music has a way of showing you what you need. In the jam sessions and late nights that came with conservatory life, I found myself singing more and more, and realised that was where I truly belonged. So I turned everything around and followed that feeling.I completed my Bachelor's in Jazz Voice at Codarts University in Rotterdam, one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Immersed in different genres, musical philosophies, and performance practices, I became deeply aware of something that few people talk about openly: how anxiety and posture shape the voice. Having struggled with both myself, I began investigating, but everything shifted after a semester of Mindfulness and another of Alexander Technique.Back in Portugal, I continued my journey with vocal coach Diogo Pinto, who blends singing with speech therapy tools in a way that was genuinely life-changing. That opened the door to further training: I became certified as a Vocal Pedagogy Expert through Full Voice Studios, completed Canto Consciente (Mindful Singing) with speech therapist Fernanda Lopes, and studied with some of the most respected vocal experts in the field, including Deyse Schultz and Mauro Fiuza. Everything I've learned along the way helped me break through real obstacles in my own singing. That's what drives me to work with others: not just to teach technique, but to help each person unlock the full potential of their most personal instrument.Alongside teaching, I perform with two projects: mōli, where I write original music with a neosoul, jazz and R&B feel, and MALVA, focused on live music for events and celebrations. The stage keeps me grounded as a teacher, as I never stop being a student of my own voice.
